Novak rolls past Chardy to set up semi-final with Federer!

  Second-seeded Novak Djokovic is one win away from reaching the Rogers Cup final, after defeating Frenchman Jeremy Chardy in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 in 1 hour and 12 minutes.
  The best Serbian tennis player made two breaks in the first set, in the sixth and eighth games, to take it convincingly 6-2 in 34 minutes.
 
  After saving two break points in the opening game of the second set, Nole broke Chardy’s service in the second game and then held for 3-0 lead. He maintained advantage and closed the set and match with a service game to love for 6-3.
   Match statistics: aces (3-7), double faults (1-2), winners (21-15), unforced errors (16-20), total points won (61-41).
 
  For a place in his first ATP final of the season Novak will face world no.3 Roger Federer. The Swiss beat seventh-seeded Czech Tomas Berdych in three sets 6-3, 5-7, 7-6(5).
 
Djokovic and Federer have played 14 matches, Roger leads 9-5.
